Transportation/Parking Information:

BART:Nearest BART station is 12th St./City Center. It is a 1 minute walk across the street. See Map.

Parking: We have arranged for up to 4 hour parking validation at the following garages. A token will be provided to you which will be validated and used when returning to your car. Any remaining time will need to be paid for before leaving the garage.

Topics include the regional framework, a presentation of the Earn and Learn/Learn and Earn toolkit, and panels of student, employers, industry, and more. Register now and a full agenda will be emailed to you the week of the institute.

Thursday, November 10th from 9am-2pm

Goals of the Work Based Learning Fall Institute:

  1. Provide standards of quality for Work-Based Learning
  2. Help schools develop quality Work-Based Learning plans
  3. Engage industry early in the process of developing Work-Based Learning plans
  4. Share knowledge on Work-Based Learning issues
  5. Align Work-Based Learning activities regionally

This event is hosted by the Oakland Workforce Development Board and Oakland Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce in partnership with Project Pathways of Alameda County Office of Education
